Can you make an urgently needed donation today of $10, $25, $50, or $100 to help open a convergence space in Charlotte for everyone coming for the March on Wall Street South and other actions around the Democratic National Convention? We need to secure $3,000 in funds to get the space by Tuesday, August 7.
Having this will be crucial to ensure that the mobilization around the DNC is a success. This space will serve as place for people to:
- get oriented as they arrive in Charlotte
- get maps, housing and logistical info, a zine with a resource guide and a people’s history of Charlotte, NC, and the South & and other important information
- help with banner making, art and puppet design, making signs, and other preparations
- meet up and network with activists from throughout the South and the U.S.
- hold workshops, discussions, and other meetings
Many groups in NC and from around the country have been collaborating to envision what this space could be and how it will help to build longstanding community organizing campaigns on the ground in Charlotte.
Time is running short. Can you make a donation today and share this appeal among your networks to help make it happen?
Thanks so much for your support! See you in Charlotte!
